On March 7, 2025, the successful ignition of the electric furnace oven in the main plant of Indonesia's CNI Nickel Iron RKEF Phase I project marked a key progress in project construction and laid a solid foundation for the smooth progress of subsequent projects.
Since the start of the project, the project team has been fully committed to strictly controlling safety management and construction progress. Through scientific planning, resource optimization, and efficient execution, the safety, quality, and schedule goals of the project have been ensured. Next, the project team will continue to carry forward the spirit of overcoming difficulties, steadily promote the construction and commissioning of subsequent projects, and strive to achieve full production as soon as possible, injecting new impetus into the high-quality development of Indonesia's nickel iron smelting industry.
The Indonesia CNI Nickel Iron RKEF Phase I project is located in Southeast Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. After completion, the project will become the largest rectangular large electric furnace nickel iron production line in Indonesia's smelting industry. In addition, CNI will also construct a high-pressure acid leaching (HPAL) smelting plant for the production of nickel cobalt hydroxide (MHP), with an annual output of 40000 tons of nickel metal, mainly used in the field of new energy batteries and other applications.
